The Founder
Mary Nash Beaupre

November 19, 1934 to June 16, 2014

In 2015 Mary's son, John Beaupre established the Maine Celebrity Classic as fundraiser whose proceeds would honor his mother and her devotion to gardening, youth development and the Alfond Youth & Community Center (AYCC)., where John and his brother Mark spent many childhood hours playing basketball alongside young boys that became lifelong friends.

By 2018, the fourth year of the annual event, John's family and siblings raised over $300,000 in support of Garden to Table Programming at the AYCC, which included building a 42 foot year round state-of-the-art Growing Dome as the heart of the Mary Nash Beaupre Sustainable Gardens.

Read More about this amazing woman and the legacy her children are building upon to support those community members in need.
